Overview

This page provides information on the Sources Rent Bank. Rent Banks operated by other agencies may differ in what supports they provide and how they determine eligibility. 

The Sources Rent Bank may issue low income individuals and families a one-time crisis loan for residents of Surrey, White Rock, North Delta and Langley. The aim is to help provide qualified applicants with a one-time microloan to prevent homelessness due to unexpected circumstance. The Sources Rent Bank may provide a loan for up to $1,200 for a single person or up to $1,600 for a family, if your income falls below the income threshold and you meet other eligibility requirements.

These loans can be used for rental arrears or utility arrears. They may also provide a damage deposit and/or first month’s rent in special circumstances.
